"Det går and.."
This chess set was the last project I did while studying. I chose to make a wordplay out of a local saying.
To make a long story short, I changed one of the pieces to a duck, and made the rest of the bright pieces more like the normal style of chess.
The dark pieces are more of an abstract figure of the bright ones.
All the models for the pieces were hand carved. Made in solid bronze with different decorations.
King and queen have filigree decorations, and several other pieces have inlays of glass and silver.
The board is made of rowan and ebony.
The set was exhibited at Dyrsku'n, in 2015.
